Welcome to From Slangin’ Dope to Slangin’ Hope, a life-changing ministry under Jaime Torres Ministries. Our mission is to bring hope, love, and the message of Christ to neighborhoods facing poverty, addiction, and despair. Led by Jaime Torres, a former drug dealer saved by God’s grace, this ministry is a testament to the power of redemption and the transformative love of Christ.
Our Mission
We go where hope is needed most—into communities burdened by poverty and addiction—to share God’s love, inspire change, and uplift lives. By connecting with people in meaningful ways, we show them they are not forgotten and that hope is alive.
What We Do
Community Outreach – Bread Walks
On Thursdays, we hold what we call Bread Walks. As we walk through neighborhoods, we hand out bread while praying with individuals and families. These acts of kindness open the door for meaningful conversations, and we invite everyone to join us for our main event on Saturday.
Hope-Filled Events
Each summer, we host three large-scale events designed to bless and uplift entire communities:
- Family Fun: Bounce houses, free haircuts, and games for kids bring joy to families.
- Food & Fellowship: We prepare and serve hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks to foster a sense of community.
- Baptisms: For those ready to take a step of faith, we offer opportunities for baptism.
- Inspiring Words: Guest speakers and uplifting music share the Gospel and the message of hope.
- Community Support: We distribute gift cards and provide other resources to meet practical needs.
A Day of Impact:
On Saturdays, from 11 AM to 6 PM, our events transform neighborhoods into spaces of love, joy, and fellowship. These gatherings leave a lasting impact, planting seeds of hope in the hearts of all who attend.
